Friday Night Performance nearly sold out! Saturday performance added!

Seymour Barab's children's opera Snow White and Seven Dwarfs was an original commission by Cimarron Opera in 1988. Our founder, Mr. Thomas Carey, was looking for a one-act opera that incorporates children in the performance. This revival production will feature an all-student cast ranging from ages 7 to 17.

Friday January 26th at 7pm

Second show added! Saturday January 27th at 7pm

St. John's Episcopal Church, Norman

The familiar events of the story as written by the Brothers Grimm are are reimagined by Seymour Barab, plus a happy ending in which the Queen gets her comeuppance.

The cruel queen, jealous of Snow White's beauty, orders her innocent stepdaughter to be left in forest, but later discovers that Snow White is living in a cottage with seven friendly little miners. Disguising herself, the queen brings a poisoned apple to Snow White, who falls into a death-like sleep. The prince comes to her rescue.

This 50-minute production is a fun story that uses the traditional fairy tale with original music and lyrics. There will be a short pre-show segment beginning at 7pm featuring the youth and children of our cast.
